Buddha Vajrapani is the Buddha of spiritual power. With the development of spiritual power we possess the confidence, inner strength and skill not only to take on and defeat our own delusions, but to be of great benefit in helping free others from their delusions as well. Nothing could be more meaningful.
Venerable Geshe-la is a truly international Teacher whose wish is to benefit everyone without exception. To this end, among his many extraordinary actions, Venerable Geshe-la has founded the three International Kadampa Festivals, National Festivals (like the US Festival) and regional Dharma Celebrations, which are organized every year and enjoyed by thousands of people from all over the world.
Gen-la Kelsang Jampa is the Deputy Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU and the Resident Teacher at IKRC Grand Canyon.
He has studied under Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche and taught internationally for many years and is greatly admired for his warm personality and clear, inspiring teachings.
The US Festival provides a special opportunity to receive teachings and guidance from senior Kadampa teachers. Gen-la Kelsang Jampa, the Festival's principal teacher, will grant the empowerment of Buddha Vajrapani and give teaching on the five forces. We will then have the opportunity to receive teachings and engage in meditation and retreat from teachers from around the United States.
The emphasis of the 2024 US Festival is in-person attendance, but it will be possible to participate online if you are not able to attend in-person.
The 2024 US Festival is September 20-25, with a full program of teachings, empowerment and meditations available online and in-person at IKRC Grand Canyon. Festival registration will go live Tuesday, July 16th at 11am (PDT).
